Embodying Transformation: Movement Artists and Restorative Justice Practices

Saturday, January 13th | 9am-12pm | SPACE Gallery, Portland

Workshop facilitated by Halley Phillips of The Restorative Justice Institute of Maine

What can movement training teach us about accountability, trust, and transformation? This free workshop will provide participants with a basic introduction to the principles of Restorative Justice and Emergent Strategy, and open up opportunities for conversation about dance as a transformative social practice. Through small group activities and whole-group circling, participants will be invited to align their creative work with practices of relationality and repair.

Free and open to the public. Masking requested as a measure of community care--masks available at the door
